This Independence Day, I’m thinking about my fellow seniors. We love our independence! I am grateful I can live a normal life so far, in our own home. I’m grateful for Medicare and Social Security. There are some things I grieve, yes. There are things that are tragic and cruel and downright crazy. But I am still grateful because there are many blessings and beautiful things here, and I love my country.
