First Flowers

These are the first flowers I've painted in a very long time. Flowers are a lot more challenging than you might think, and they are a lot more geometric and hard edged than their softness implies.

If you look closely, you'll see a seahorse on the vase. The vase didn't really have a seahorse, I just had a little fun putting it there. Also there is a third "flower" made up of the negative white space on the vase.

This color palette was a little different from what I usually use, so it was fun to stretch in that way.
