This Dragon Stack painting is about to slip through my fingers, so I have to do a lot of back tracking ie., redo the impasto underpainting in some parts and reglaze over that. Acrylics will allow for that. Anyways it's the background that's causing the problems. The dragon herself is fine.
I can almost control this glazing process, but not quite. If it turns out a "failure" I will have learned a lot.

I am managing to bring this panting back from the brink, but am not showing the gory details. Suffice it to say that the lady is rescuing the dragon. Burnt sienna. If something goes wrong, that's a sure fire solution.
I'm sure it won't be a failure. I can't wait to see what you've done with it!
I'm afraid I killed it, and will have to start the whole thing over. Had compositional issues.
Oh no! :( I guess learning from it is the positive approach - you are better than me. I would wallow in mourning for awhile.
Looking for the dragon to re-emerge.
