After a year's absence, I'm back on eBay with some paintings in oils or acrylics. Also will be offering watercolors in fun art, illustrations, and plein air.
"Witch Pumpkin" ACEO 2.5 x 3.5 inches, acrylic on illustration board. Signature on lower left. Enlarged to show detail. Coin not included with auction. SOLD!
Highly enlarged detail.
Actual size. Small, isn't it?

This composition works wonderfully,
the arching tree in the midground
leads my eye to the portrait.
I'm curious, what does ACEO stand for? Best wishes on your bidding.
Thanks! ACEO = Art Cards Editions & Originals. They are the size of baseball cards, and were started in 1996 by M. Vanci Stirnemann, in Zurich, Switzerland. They have been big on ebay for several years, and I did some for a couple years, just for fun. This is one of them.

I agree about the beautiful composition here. This is one of those pictures that I just look at and look at. The colors are perfect too.
That's a great compliment because composition is a struggle for me. Think I'll do a big one like it. Maybe doing small studies is a good way to go...think that's been already proven, eh what?
Re. color, you can't go wrong with limited color. You'll always get color harmony that way. I frequently limit myself to one red, one yellow, one blue, plus black and white. The blue in this one is turquoise. I may have slipped in some cad orange, but I don't recall.
"Coin not included" -- that's great!
I love it!
Sometimes doing a very small painting is a good way to work things out before you go to the larger format.
I'm finding that out myself.
Agreed Laura, & thanks!
