"Mrs. Eddystone" is oil on quarter inch birch wood, and is 4 x 4 inches. Sort of the same theme as Oceana, the previous post.
The lighthouse in the background is the famous Eddystone Light, shown as it may have originally looked when it perched on a rock in the water. It has now been moved inland and is a tourist attraction.
The title comes from the ballad "Eddystone Light" which tells of a lighthouse keeper who hooked up with a mermaid and had three children by her, two of whom came to tragic ends. This is an imaginary portrait of said mermaid.
